Complete and versatile tool to convert from CD to MP3
"Way More Complex Than It Should Be"
Exact Audio Copy rips a whole CD into 1 very large audio file. If you just want to hear a whole album on audio format played from beginning to end this is about as good as it gets. However the quality of sound itself is no different than WAVE audio files from any other CD ripper and it is more complex to use than other CD rippers.
The true downsides to Exact Audio Copy is it is not compatible with all CD/DVD drives. It also takes longer to set up than the average CD ripping software.
Overall unless your one of those people who wants your whole CD ripped into one file then you have better and simpler alternatives. I myself prefer the CD ripper in dBpowerAMP Music Converter. I like to rip my CDs to WAVE quality and convert them if need be. To me Exact Audio Copy is meaningless. When you rip a CD to your computer chances are you are either wanting to listen to certain songs, wanting to make a CD of your favorite songs from different CDs or are gonna put the files on your iPod or other mp3 player. In all those instances, Exact Audio Copy is useless.
